After long back and forth, I have finally decided to start my own blog. I have been thinking about this for a while now, as I always wanted to share some of my experiences and knowledge with the world.
When starting my own blog, I wanted to control it by myself and run in my own domain. In the past I tested many possible solutions like Hugo, Astro, Front Matter, just to name a few. I never was happy with the result, the systems seemed too complex for my needs. I was looking for something simple, fast, and easy to use. It had to support Markdown as source and provide a way to automatically deploy the blog to my server.
So a few weeks ago I came across Minimal viable blog by Carl Öst Wilkens - that was exactly what I was looking for. It is a simple static site generator that uses Markdown files to create the blog posts. It is easy to set up and has a clean design that looks good on all devices. I was able to set it up in a few hours and start writing my first post.
